was presented by Luxembourg & Dayan, New York, in 2015. For 

, translating to “the witch” in German, Da Corte created a site-specific installation that consumed the gallery’s East 77th Street townhouse, turning it into an implausible and fantastical combination of dollhouse and haunted house. Visitors explored familiar imagery and obscure biographical references that mingled, repeated, and morphed into new provocations—inviting reflections upon memory, impulse, the stability of knowledge, and what constitutes value in a work of art.

Constituting Da Corte’s largest installation then to date, 

 introduced a broader audience to the work of an admired Philadelphia-based artist whose first major museum solo exhibition opened at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA) in March 2016.
